“We loved our stay at Alex Lake. Everyone working at the hotel was incredibly friendly and extremely knowledgeable of the area. The concierge service was fantastic and helped us make reservations at restaurants that were allergy and diet friendly. We had a chance to go to the spa which was very relaxing. Our bartender Aayush was the best! The drinks were amazing. He told us the science behind making the drinks and was extremely knowledgeable of all of the cocktails. “A five star hotel and yet I’ve had better experiences in Super 8s. We had to deal with silverfish and a dead bed bug in our bed. When we reported it to the front desk the response we got was “we can’t control nature”. Asked to get ahold of the manager and, conveniently, he was off for the day so they couldn’t get ahold of him. What a truly awful experience; it completely ruined our trip and they just don’t seem to care at all. Don’t stay here; it is only the illusion of a 5 star hotel.” — Dillon
