“Great resort with amenities here and at their sister properties that are very clean and enjoyable. The grounds were kept so clean and all of the staff were so pleasant. Lynne at the coffee station every morning was so welcoming and sweet. We had a great time on the kayaks and Moya-Kay made us feel comfortable and was very friendly. I definitely recommend this resort if you are staying in Islamorada. Also less than 2 hour drive to Key West if you wanted to do a day trip. I will note that yes, check-in time is 4pm, but we have always been able to check in at least an hour early to other hotels a” — Marina Nicole

“Terrible experience and horrible customer service by the front desk . We will not be returning and would not recommend this hotel to anyone. From the moment we arrived, the staff had an unfriendly attitude. Before our stay, we requested a room with a bathtub, but our request was not honored. We also asked for an early check-in, explaining that I am pregnant and I needed to rest. Despite this, there was no effort to accommodate us, and our room was not ready until just five minutes before the standard check-in time. “Staff was extremely nice and helpful. They offer a lot of complimentary amenities so make sure to check their activities schedule to maximize your experience. Not all event are offered daily. They do have fishing available from the doc which is extremely convenient. It is catch and release her. You have to go off site if you want to keep your catch. You can bring your own rod or rent one for $17-30. Location is close to restaurants so you can explore and the complimentary bikes are very nice. You can visit the other sister resorts but we personally liked Amara Cay the best.” — Maria Chacon
