“We had a wonderful stay at The Amara Resort and Spa for a college reunion weekend! The location is fantastic—close to downtown with beautiful views of the red rocks, especially the iconic Snoopy Rock formation. The courtyard layout creates a nice communal feel, and we loved spending our evenings there. A few things worth knowing: The valet service was excellent, and the lobby offers complimentary water during the day and coffee in the morning. “We recently stayed at Amara in Sedona, Arizona, and while the views and atmosphere were absolutely beautiful, our overall experience unfortunately did not match the setting. From the moment we arrived, we didn’t feel very welcomed, and the hospitality from the staff was lacking. Our room also had a strange smell, and we noticed ants in the room during our stay. Sedona itself is stunning, and the hotel has so much potential because the scenery and ambiance are truly amazing, but the service and cleanliness left us disappointed.” — Carliss Shields

“The grounds are nice but it's not easy to get around I was on the second floor so there were lots of stairs even if you take the elevator. The charging port by the bed did not work. The first time I used the shower the water would not turn off so I had to call me maintenance. He did not speak English but I was able to watch him It took him several tries to get the water to shut off. The next day when I took a shower I could not get water to come out of the overhead shower only the handheld. Also the water is very hard which made for a bad hair day.
