“Great hotel even though it is true that furniture may show wear. Spacious room and bathroom, good sound insulation ,very comfortable bed. The decor and interior design are truly nice. Staff is well trained, helpful and speaks english well - that is not the case in all would-be 5* hotels in Shanghai. Nice lounge area with good service, food and drinks. The gym is fine without being spectacular, located in the basement it offers no daylight. The pool is nice - though also deprived from daylight. The location is great with great restaurants nearby, easy access to the subway. It is overall quite c” — Carl Creange

“I have stayed at several Andaz hotels in different countries, and this property was by far the most geared toward a younger crowd, with a concept that reminded me of Marriott's W brand. The hotel enjoys a prime location in Shanghai, but I felt it could benefit from more thorough cleaning and better overall maintenance. Perhaps it was the red neon mood lighting throughout the room, but I found myself hesitant to touch certain surfaces and was relieved that my stay was limited to just one night. Most of the guests I observed appeared to be younger travelers, and they seemed to enjoy the hotel's ” — Kye

“We checked in quite late, but the service was excellent and they kindly offered us complimentary breakfast in return. The location was definitely the highlight — I really enjoyed the Xintiandi area. There are plenty of shopping malls within walking distance, ranging from high-end luxury brands to daily essentials.
