“Second summer staying at CBI. The resort is beautiful, the grounds stunning, the staff and service top notch. Food is excellent. Rooms are a bit dated and worn in parts, but has a rustic/coastal elegance. The things I don’t like: 1) Lots of kids. Kids at the pool, kids at the bars at sunset. It takes away from the ambiance of the place. Makes it feel like a busy Marriott in Cancun vs a peaceful oasis. Bringing kids to a place like this is so classless, imo. 2) The “look at me” crowd. The place is absolutely overrun with young women (and some men) trying so hard to look like wealthy somebodys o” — Jonathan Carlson
“This was our second stay at Chatham Bars Inn, and unfortunately the experience fell well short of our first visit. Shortly after check-in, we discovered the air conditioning was not functioning. To their credit, a technician arrived fairly quickly to investigate. After two staff members assessed the situation, it was confirmed that the thermostat was faulty — the vents were reading 39°F in the bedroom and 44°F in the main cottage, while the thermostat displayed 72°F. We were assured the issue would be resolved, but it never was during our stay. We only learned work had been done after checkout” — Bill Knight
“We visited for some drinks on the patio. We ordered four drinks from Jen at the patio bar and tipped generously. We tried to order food but was told that could only be done at the tables. It was quite busy around 5:30 on a Friday. We found two seats near the bar and enjoyed the view. After a few minutes of finishing our drinks, Jen told us to clear the seating for people who wanted to order food. I am astonished at how quickly we were dismissed even though we were paying patrons who tried to order food and were denied! Very curt and rude service. The view was great but the service was not.” — Victoria Jones
