“Loving this hotel. We arrived this afternoon and are here for 2 nights before starting a river cruise. Conveniently for us, our cruise company arranged airport transportation and it took 30 minutes during an evening commute. The folks working here are charming and helped us get settled. Our room is clean, quiet and well appointed. The beds are comfortable. The bathroom is well-sized and with separate toilet and shower rooms (rain head) from the sinks. Our room has a balcony onto an internal, quiet atrium. The hotel is on a pedestrian shopping area with various restaurants and stores and is clo” — Daz Wilkin

“My rating is due to one thing only. The service was great, the location is great. I give it 2 stars because of their lacking of cooling. The lobby? Uncomfortably warm. Dining area? Uncomfortably warm. Rooms? Uncomfortably warm. When we called to ask if the thermostats could be lowered (they were locked at 20 Celsius), we were told “that was not possible”. Here’s my issue with that….This hotel is 500 plus USD/night at the lower end of their offerings. There is absolutely no reason they should be operating a hotel this warm in the summer months. “The Dorothea Hotel is one of the most comfortable hotels I've stayed at, with service that feels attentive beyond expectations. The staff was incredibly pleasant, always greeting me politely and assisting with doors and luggage. They also quickly resolved a room issue (a clicking sensor) by moving me, and the whole experience was smooth. The rooms are modern and well-designed, with updated USB outlets, very comfortable beds, and a clean bathroom with thoughtful details and ample counter space.
