Fairmont Orchid

“We stayed at Fairmont Orchid last week with my husband, and once again had a wonderful experience. This was our fourth stay at the hotel, which says a lot about how much we enjoy coming back. The location is simply beautiful, with its special white-sand beach protected from the ocean waves, making it perfect for swimming, relaxing, and enjoying the stunning Hawaiian scenery. The rooms are exceptionally clean and well maintained. Housekeeping does an outstanding job, cleaning the rooms and refreshing the towels at least twice a day. “Very clean and lovely resort. 4 stars, not 5. Big comfortable rooms, shuttle around the area, good service. No hospitality rooms if you want to shower after check-out. Beds are comfortable but not as nice as a 5 star bed (or even westin). Rooms were refreshed means the furniture was changed. Not renovated. Room and marble baths are in decent shape and as mentioned very clean. Not as nice as Mauna Lani, but definitely a great value and beautiful property. One of the nicest areas on the entire big island. I will keep coming back to this hotel over and over again.” — Samantha Haas

“We had a wonderful stay at the Fairmont Orchid. The hotel is very well kept and all the staff are very friendly. The pool and beach staff were always friendly, hardworking, and welcoming. Malia was especially kind. She helped us with chairs and towels each day and was great to talk story with. The canoe experience was a highlight, and Kanoa and Elijah did an excellent job explaining everything and making it fun and comfortable. Mahalo for such a great experience!
