“This beautiful crocus yellow hotel, built around a large inward facing courtyard has a Lake Como villa look, not at all like its prison origins. Even in February brightly planted with vibrant cyclamen, violas and polyanthus. It’s virtually a stone’s throw from both the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque and so couldn’t be better located. The rooms are as comfortable as you might expect, the staff always gracious and welcoming, and the restaurant excellent for both breakfast and dinner with plenty of interesting Turkish dishes.
