What guests say

Grand Hyatt Shanghai is famous for its soaring architecture and panoramic views of the city. While the hardware of the hotel remains impressive, a series of service lapses during check-in and luggage delivery detracted from what could have been a premium luxury experience. 1. Check-In & Service (The Bottleneck) The arrival and check-in process left much to be desired and felt disorganized: Repetitive Procedures: I arrived early to complete the pre-check-in paperwork, during which the staff checked and scanned my passport before taking my dropped luggage. Lovely hotel to stay and access to the elevator to the reception. If you have limited language in Chinese, it’s fine, staff will assist and nowadays you can use translator to engage in conversation. Rooms are great but for me, it’s a little outdated but keeps its traditional style intact. There were some drainage problems at the time of my stay. However, my experience is very rare since I was there during the typhoon season so that may have caused some problems. Overall, it’s been fine. The spa, gym centre is small but great. I didn’t get to use the jacuzzi but it was very nice. Staff are atteA “AP” I

Stayed at Grand Hyatt Shanghai and it was truly a unique experience. The hotel is located inside the iconic Jin Mao Tower, which already makes the stay feel special. My room was on the 61st floor—completely surreal. Unfortunately, I was in the clouds most of the time due to the weather, but I did get a glimpse of what must be one of the most beautiful views in Shanghai. Absolutely breathtaking. The Grand Club Lounge is another highlight. The breakfast is perfect—refined, high-quality, and with a great selection of both Western and Asian options.
