“The villa is outstanding but frankly you would expect a much better service for the price they charge. Excluding a few exceptions (the black guy at the reception was very very nice, Sebastian at the bar was outstanding, the staff at the spa amazing) the service was not cordial, nor welcoming. You could see the staff utilises different standards depending on the customer. Not a single smile or welcoming attitude in the breakfast room (we had to call them to order coffee and we were welcomed in the coldest way), and generally speaking it is not a warming or welcoming environment. “One of the best experiences we have had at a hotel. The grounds and facilities of this hotel are incredible. The staff went above and beyond for every request we had. The location was perfect for day trips to the lakes, Milan, and Venice. Food and drinks in the restaurants were great. The pool area, sauna, and steam room were an excellent way to unwind.
