“This hotel does not come close to living up to 5star rating. For the amount we paid for a week’s stay- about 8,000 EURO the experience was extremely underwhelming and frustrating from start to finish. The rooms were very small and unremarkable, and the overall level of service was consistently poor. Right from the beginning, there were issues. We checked in early and left my toddler’s yogurts and a few personal items at the front desk while waiting for our room. “We stayed at the hotel for 6 nights in February 2026. Hotel is reasonably comfortable & well located, but the “affiliated” Lodge on the mountain offers VERY poor service (arrogant waiters who seem only to want to serve Italians, leaving non-Italians waiting ages for their food). Hotel staff say the lodge is managed separately, so not sure why hotel website suggests they’re linked - seems like a misrepresentation to me. The hotel restaurant is great - if you can get a table! Courmayeur (town & ski resort) is generally a pain in that you have to book every lunch & dinner in advance, which doesn’” — Ben Davis
