MacArthur Place Hotel & Spa

“Lovely hotel with beautiful grounds. Small little details like the dimming lights, soft robes, fluffy slippers really made it extra nice. I was pleased to see that valet was still open at 11:30 pm. We spent the day at the pool (a tad small imo) and like other reviews mention, there are a lot of kids that are running around. It’s nice to see families have a place to hang out, but if that’s not your vibe, I’d come on a weekday. The poolside service was good, and the food was fresh but quite underseasoned. “Let me think, memorable, remarkable, delightful. From the moment we got there, throughout the stay and upon leaving, the staff and establishment perpetuated a calming stress-free environment. The Bar, Café and Layla's, are amazing places on grounds to grab a bite or indulge in your senses. Once there, I had no reason to leave. “The MacArthur place is a fabulous boutique hotel a short walk from the square in downtown Sonoma. The rooms are beautiful and the fireplace under the TV was a perfect end to a day of wine tasting. There are tons of details and features in the rooms including heated floors in the bathroom. There is a nice restaurant on property called Layla and a coffee shop called the Porch. I want to specifically call out Ed who works at the Porch. After having to unexpectedly put down our dog days before arrival he was the most compassionate person.
