“Stunning views, poor guest service The hotel is beautiful and the food is delicious, but the experience was disappointing for a 5-star hotel. - Misleading Info: The website advertised daily yoga, but it’s actually weekend-only. - Service Issues: Because the location is remote, you are limited to the hotel restaurant where the service is unfortunately poor/unpleasant. - Rigid Policies: They refused to let us sit at empty tables for bar/room service orders (we wanted to eat/drink something) on the off-chance that outside guests might show up later for the restaurant and want to sit outside. “I could not be most disappointed in this hotel. They ruined my 40th birthday. They cancelled our reservation without informing us and without refunding us. The concierge did not even apologize. Only after I asked to speak to management, did I received a sorry. However, they told me they were not able to process the refund (despite not being able to offer me a room). “This is a fantastic place to stay if you in the Girona (Costa Brava, Spain) area. We stayed for two nights in mid December 2025, the hotel was very warm, staff very helpful and food was excellent. The Spa is a really nice place to relax with a very good gym and indoor pool. We will definately be coming back to the Mas de Torrent in the future.” — Andrew Melley
