“The English language lacks the requisite words to describe this hotel. Absolutely everything was perfect. The views, the room, the bathroom, the pools, the bars, the restaurant and the staff. “We stayed at Octant Douro for 5 nights in the pool suite and what an incredibly special stay it was. The hotel location is just stunning, right on the banks of the Douro River, with river views from nearly every window. Kayaks and paddle boards are available for hotel guests to use and it was great way to explore the river. There are also 3 pools (2 outdoor, one of which is adults only, 1 indoor), a small gym and some treatment rooms. “One of the best hotels I've been to in Portugal, and no doubt the best views here. It's our third time here, and every visit was perfect. Rooms are beautiful, with a nice minibar and fantastic look at the river. Spotless cleen and with all the small details that make this place special and a five stars hotel. There are two restaurants, one is Michelin one is more local. Both are very good, with good vegetarian and vegan options. The spa is good as well, with two saunas, a heated swimming pool, a small but efficient gym and treatment rooms. There are also two outdoor swimming pools, with breath” — Keren-Or Peretz
