“We had a wonderful stay at Octant Furnas. What stood out most was the staff, incredibly attentive, genuinely helpful, and often anticipating needs a step ahead without being intrusive. “We stayed here for our first wedding anniversary, and unfortunately we won’t be returning. To be fair, the facilities are genuinely lovely — we used the spa twice and the pools were excellent. But for a 5-star property at this price point, the experience didn’t match the price tag. What stood out most was how impersonal it felt for what was meant to be a special occasion. We were never once wished a happy anniversary, despite having booked a special tasting menu — there were plenty of opportunities to make the stay feel memorable, and none were taken. “My husband and I had a wonderful short stay. All of the staff were courteous and helpful. The pools are relaxing. The entire hotel is impeccably clean and the atmosphere is quiet. Breakfast buffet has a wide selection including local cheeses and bread. I loved the selection of local teas in the tea bar. Dinner selection is also very good. We tried the local stew. The serving for two can easily feed 3-4 people - we couldn't finish it unfortunately but it was very good.
