“PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE MAKING A RESERVATION — IT MAY SAVE YOU THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. If you are considering booking an ocean-view room at Post Ranch Inn between May, June, July, or August, I strongly encourage you to do extensive research about Big Sur's seasonal coastal fog before spending your money. Based on our experience, I would never book an ocean-view room during these months again. We paid nearly $10,000 for two nights in one of the resort's premium ocean-view accommodations because the breathtaking ocean views shown throughout their website were the main reason we chose this p” — Jamshid Kiumarsi
“We stayed two nights in a treehouse for my husband’s birthday. Pros: Views are lovely and the rooms are beautiful. The complementary minibar and snacks were very nice. Staff was broadly friendly and helpful. Cons: 1. Our main concern was the construction noise and dust during the spa renovation. We knew in advance that the spa would be unavailable, but we did not expect the extent of the disruption—particularly as our treehouse (Grimes) was located directly next to the construction and in the path of the dust. The noise and conditions meant we could not fully enjoy the room for much of the day” — Stephanie
“OK, this patient is truly.special. I am writing this review as I prepare to leave. I came with my husband for a quick weekend getaway (booked through Amex fine hotels and resorts). I was super disappointed as we started our trip because it was POURING. All my dreams of getting the views that everyone speaks about were dashed. But let me tell you that the weather here is very temperamental. Don't let rain get you down. Chances are within a few hours it'll clear and you'll get some stunning views. We drove down the Mcway falls and Partington cove--nice hike there. I did a yoga class at the resor” — Cheruba Prabakar
