“We arrived at Reschio with high expectations. The property markets itself — and prices itself — as a top-tier destination, with room rates well above comparable hotels in the region and activity and service costs layered on top. The grounds are genuinely extraordinary, the restoration is meticulous, and the level of curation is rare, so some of that premium is understandable. But at this overall price point, the operational standard has to match the ambition. It doesn’t, and that’s not acceptable. Service is overstaffed and under-coordinated.
