“The property looks picture perfect and indeed it is even more beautifully than it looks. The service levels are outstanding. And this is across the villa we stayed at and the property restaurants we dined at. The cocktails at the clubhouse were exquisite - with ingredients from the gardens. The restaurant we has dinner in was as fabulous. Even the pizza lunch at our poolside was excellent. Unfortunately we had a bunch of vineyard visits and lunches - which were fabulous - but didn’t give us much time to enjoy the Villa and activities at the property. “I waited until I returned from my vacation to write this review, and reflect on how I truly felt about my experience at CDB. The over arching theme, is that I feel very disappointed. It is a beautiful place with history and I did enjoy myself(it's Italy- hard not to), but before people spend the time, energy and alas, money, they should be aware.. At CDB, hey have rooms that are much different than what they advertise. We were placed in the St Michelle suite in the main square and told it was an upgrade. The room was awful. No terrace.
