We love EDITION hotels! 4 stars only because the hotel is starting to show its age with signs of wear in the lobby, furniture, carpets in hallways, etc. We stayed here for one week last October. The hotel is wonderfully located on the park and close walking distance to everything. This might be one of our favorite locations to stay at in NYC! Rooms are spacious (by NYC standards), minimalistic, serene, and quiet. “Not worth the expensive price tag. Rooms are well appointed, less beat up, and slightly bigger than most NYC rooms. However, the little things at this hotel are a miss. A regular Marriott brand would do better. 1. Staff missed my room for cleaning on day 1. 2. Thermostat / Heater in my first room was broken. These things happen but the thermostat was the cheapest eco thermostat possible. 3. I was moved to a much smaller room next to staff quarters (in and out all the time). 4.
