“We stayed overnight and had a really pleasant experience with the hotel itself. Our room was very clean, well maintained, and comfortable. Everything felt fresh and thoughtfully kept up, which made it easy to relax right away. The pool area could use a bit of an update. We were also expecting to be able to order food and drink while at the pool and no one was there besides the lifeguard so we ended up leaving. “Having experienced the hotel when it operated as the Ritz-Carlton Westchester, I can confidently say the level of service has declined. First, some basics were missing. For a hotel at this level, I expected turndown service, it was never provided. The bathroom towels also had a noticeable musty almost smoky smell, which immediately detracted from the sense of cleanliness and luxury. The spa experience was perhaps the most underwhelming. Prices were in line with a high-end spa, but the quality of the massage felt closer to a budget experience. The treatment room lighting remained fully on the e” — James B
