“This was our first time staying at a Ritz Carlton, so we were super excited, but unfortunately this hotel didn't meet our expectations. Though the property is stunning, the staff are kind, and the food is gorgeous, the biggest flaw is that you are unable to change the temperature in your room and it is stuck at 24 degrees. I'm pregnant and my husband runs hot, and we prefer to sleep in 18-19 degree temperatures, so the warm air in the room made it impossible to sleep. When we called the staff to ask if there was anything they could do, they suggested that we sleep with ice packs in our bed or ” — Laura Walter

“Coming from Park Hyatt, our expectations were high and the Ritz Nikko didn’t disappoint. The room was clean and large. The breakfast was great. They included a nice continental bar with milk, juices and cereals free for everyone which was much appreciated. You gotta try the croissant waffle for breakfast. It’s amazing!!! “I’m honestly obsessed with this hotel! It was our second visit in 2 years, it might just become the high standard I never knew I needed! The drive is picturesque from the base of the mountain up to Lake Chuzenji through the winding roads. You might also see some local monkeys! As you arrive, you’re greeted by every staff member with a cheerful smile. Whisked away from your car into the lobby lounge, fire place roaring and welcome drink in hand.
