It was a special occassion for my grandmother's birthday and somehow (I don't think I mentioned it in the reservation?) the hotel knew and left a dish of small pastries for us to celebrate. That personal touch is so unique to Ritz hotels! The rooms were spectacularly appointed, modern, comfortable, spacious. The lobby was a classic Ritz ol' school space. “While the hotel itself is very charming, the staff and level of service are the true standouts for this property. From the moment we arrived, our bags were handled for us and the front desk was able to get us checked into our upgraded room several hours early (this was amazing coming off of a long haul international flight). We stayed here for the first two nights of our honeymoon and were truly treated like royalty - we had several bottles of wine, desserts, etc. sent to our room and the whole staff kept congratulating us on our marriage.
