“To think I almost didn’t book due to some of the bad reviews… This was one of the best resort experiences I’ve ever had. Some reviews say the place is dated but I completely disagree. This is such a beautiful property. They have to be spending at least $2 million per year on landscaping. The service was fantastic everywhere I went. They were very helpful with arranging external activities like kayaking and providing shuttle services to and from everything on the island. Just a breathtaking experience.” — Ben Gardier

“Beautiful grounds, lobbies and accommodations. Staff are top-notch. Concierge handle things efficiently and quickly. Jasmine Porch and Ocean Grill are very good! Club level is a good value. Housekeeping is superb! Two suggestions: increase Club Level prices by $1000 and give an increase in food quality. There needs to be a bump up in exclusivity. Disney World does Club Level very well…copy that. Fix the coffee problem stat! Early risers have no coffee option until 6:00 am, and even then it’s a little carafe in Jasmine Porch. “The Sanctuary ar Kiawah Island is a fantastic place to stay. The moment you arrive you are made to feel very special. The hotel and grounds are meticulous maintained. Sadly for my wife's and me our first stay did have some hickups. We had reservations to eat at the Atlantic room our first night, but when we got there for dinner, they could not find them. They offered us seating in the Ryder Cup Bar. Not quite the quiet evening of fine dinning we had looked foward to. The next night we ate at the Ocean room, a five star Forbes rated restaurant.
