“Stayed at The Shanghai EDITION and had a very mixed experience. The initial room was disappointing. It was a standard entry-level room with an ugly, depressing view of the back of a warehouse. This is not what one expects from a “premium” hotel, especially at this price point. The room itself was ordinary and uninspiring. I requested a room change the next day and was upgraded to a much better room with a beautiful view of the Oriental Pearl Tower. That room finally met expectations in terms of space, design, and amenities. As a Titanium member and frequent traveler, I do question why this was” — Pat N
