I expect butler service to match that standard. It hasn’t. Pre-arrival, the Butler Supervisor confirmed every request in writing, including room configuration. None of it held up on arrival, and she was unreachable when it mattered. I resolved the bed issue myself. What followed was a templated apology with no real explanation. “Stayed at The St. Regis Zhuhai from 6 to 9 June 2025 with my family and had an excellent experience. I was upgraded to a suite, and the space was genuinely impressive. The suite felt luxurious and well proportioned, with elegant European-style décor that created a refined, classic atmosphere. It really elevated the entire stay and made it very enjoyable for the whole family. Service was a standout. The butler service was attentive, responsive, and genuinely helpful with every request. “This Hotel rather pretends but can’t reach the real 5 star level image they are marketing. During our 2 night stay i had constantly issues with the climate control in the room, the inhouse QR code ordering via the app did not work at all, calling housekeeping or in room dining no one picks up the phone . Staff is inexperienced doesn’t know how to handle guest services even as simple as ordering a coffe at breakfeast or at the bar they just take the order walk away and 10 mins later after passing your table a few time just keep forgetting your order without reminding them i would still 2 days l” — Saki Chatzichristidis
