“Five stars all around! From the time I arrived and even before then the experience was already top tier. Staying in this storied mansion in Newport was an experience I wouldnt forget in a hurry. The level of service was what you would expect of a five star establishment. Upon arrival I was offered water and given a tour of the facilities and the interesting theme general areas in the hotel. I was upgraded to a well appointed suite where a lovely welcome amenity with prosecco was waiting for me. “Where to begin… Everything was perfect! My husband and I had an absolutely fabulous stay. The place is truly stunning and steeped in history. The staff was charming and incredibly attentive. “Stayed April 2023. At that time, the Vanderbilt was in the process of turning on the AC’s as the weather was getting warm/hot. Unfortunately the AC’s were not working, and thus the night we stayed in the room was extremely hot and humid, around 80 degrees. We did ask the staff if there was anything to be done, and offered us a fan and asked us to open our windows. This did nothing to help with the heat, and it was a miserable night/stay. We did ask the hotel staff if it would be possible to be refunded for a night given our terrible experience, they declined but refunded the rest of our trip a” — Jacob Hernandez
