“The hotel is in a beautiful location, easy to get to by cable car. You don’t need a car to get here, and the hotel offers transfers from the train station. The spa area is great. The building is pretty. The service was good. The dinner included in half board was okay, some dishes were good, but others weren’t. I wouldn’t say it was good price/quality. The only consistently good thing was desserts. However, the soundproofing isn’t great. “★☆☆☆☆ Disappointing Experience at Vigilius Mountain Resort We booked our stay at Vigilius Mountain Resort through Amex Platinum, which included a $150 spa credit. Unfortunately, the resort never advised us to pre-book spa treatments before arrival. When we checked in, we were told there was virtually no availability during our two-night stay. We had planned our trip around hiking and relaxation. The resort initially offered one treatment at noon for one person and another at 6:00 PM for the other, claiming there was no availability for us to book together. The hotel sits high up on the mountain with incredible views, and the fact that it’s only accessible by cable car makes the whole experience feel peaceful and completely removed from everyday noise. Breakfast was genuinely delicious every morning, with fresh local ingredients and plenty of options.
