“The food here is genuinely very good, and the staff are kind, professional, and clearly doing their best. It is marketed as a premium, pristine oceanfront resort — and the beach simply does not deliver on that promise. During my stay, the ocean was not swimmable due to seaweed and water conditions, and this was not disclosed prior to booking or arrival. I understand hotels can’t control nature. What is controllable is transparency and service recovery. “I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It is calm and beautiful, perfect for rest. The food was outstanding, with unique dishes full of flavor, i would return just for that. The staff was always kind and attentive, especially Fanny and Juan, whose professionalism stood out. I traveled by car, so parking was free and the staff was always king and helpful. April is not the season for turquoise beaches here, so if that’s what you’re looking for, it’s not ideal unless you have a car and can drive about 30 minutes to Cancún beaches without seaweed, like Forum near Coco Bongo.
