“We traveled to Lenox for part of our summer vacation for the last 20 years and we were looking for a jazz act in the area. We missed out the previous evening due to a dinner engagement at Alta. However, we were told that the Gateway had live music and we were rewarded with a vocalist with piano accompaniment doing a set of standards. Since we did not have reservations, we landed a hi top in the bar area. The traditional decor added to the overall aesthetic. Ashley, the bartender, took our drink orders, french manhattan and gin prosecco concoction. They were perfectly displayed, mixed and serve” — Mack Vismusic
