“My daughter said she had heard good things about a Gramercy bar, Seven Sins. Why not try it? As we walked in the music was blaring and as we turned to leave, I asked the bartender if he could possibly turn it down. “Of course,” he said, “I can even turn it off!” It has been my experience to have this request turned down because 90% of the customers rely on the noise to deaden the effects of booze-filled conversations.
