Mermaid Winery - Virginia Beach

“We visited Mermaid Winery on Shore Drive on a Friday afternoon around 3pm. We received a warm greeting from the staff. Our server, Betty is also a sommelier and has an extensive knowledge of the wine offerings and pairings. We sat outside which is fully covered and is a beautiful space. I ordered a soup du jour which was a seafood chowder— broth based, filled with bits of tender seafood pieces. The soup was delicious and a great start before a meal.
