“Lucy Mercer, the speakeasy-style bar above Minetta Tavern, is somewhere between a 3.5-4 star review. It’s overpriced, for what they serve. The cocktails are decent, but $25/apiece seems excessive, even for the area. The atmosphere, décor, & ambiance are all great, though the “no phones” “rule” seems arbitrary & inconsistently enforced. (I’ve been almost tackled by a hostess for having my phone out before, but tonight, everyone had phones/was taking pictures.)
