“PJ and the boys at valet give the best service at the hotel. First impression is everything and before you even see the ocean or the property you see these guys. Professional, quick, and a pleasure to deal with. This is the reason this hotel gets a 5 star. The property was very nice and the pools were great. The private beach was also great. We attended the Luau and the show was very fun and had an incredible view. The Mochiko chicken and the lobster grilled cheese at the pool was exceptional. Would definitely order these items again. “TLDR: nice location, but overpriced and overhyped for what you get. Rooms have a weird layout, lanai doors have no screens (so you can't leave them open to smell that fresh Hawaiian air), and the property's exterior design is a "concrete jungle" instead of "Hawaiian paradise". Rooms: Ok, let’s get this out of the way right up front: the rooms at the Andaz are set up very weird. And if you’re like us and not lucky or wealthy enough to score an ocean-view room, you’re in for a very ugly experience. “Do not recommend staying here. From stepping in we waited 10 minutes at valet for someone to finally acknowledge us and take our luggages (it was not busy). Service was very unpleasant, check in was rushed and gave us plastic cups to go as welcome drinks with no explanation of hotel property. Do not take the house car! Other hotel guests kept running in before us and taking our car so we waited over 40 minutes and valet just kept saying we'll get the next one. Upon pickup as well, we waited 20 minutes and the car came and another family ran over (while we had a one year old in a stroller) and ” — Idan D
