“We recently stayed at Argonaut Hotel with our kids and had a great experience. The hotel is beautiful, with spacious, well-designed rooms and lots of historic character. The location is excellent—within easy walking distance of Fisherman's Wharf, Ghirardelli Square, and Buena Vista Cafe. We've spent the last 20 years visiting San Francisco and usually stay around Nob Hill, so staying near the Wharf was a change for us. “My review of the Argonaut Hotel actually starts a few days before check-in. I called the Concierge desk looking for help setting up something special for my wife when we arrived. Joanna did a amazing job providing me with options and more than exceeded my expectations with her delivery. She has a great wealth of area knowledge and recommendations. She was a joy to speak with anytime we walked through the lobby. Due to our mid morning flight, we fully expected to check our bags for a few hours and wander the wharf. “We stayed for 3 nights, and it was such a great place to stay. We slept like babies on the comfy beds. The staff was great and so nice. Especially John, the Doorman Extraordinaire, he joked around with our kids and was always trying to help however he can. The room was clean, even though we were barely in it since we were enjoying the amazing location so much. It was so fun to be able to walk out of the door to entertainment, but we felt very secure with the security getting to our room.
