“Our stay at the Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto was easily the highlight of the trip. The property itself is stunning—peaceful, beautifully designed, and somehow feels tucked away while still being close to everything. The rooms were exactly what you hope for: clean, modern, super comfortable… and yes, hands down the best toilets we experienced in Japan :) You expect great service at a Four Seasons, but this was on another level. “Stayed here for our honeymoon and my wife’s birthday. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel special both upon arrival and on my wife’s birthday. We leveraged the four seasons to do multiple activities including the 9 hour sightseeing tour and the afternoon tea ceremony with a Maiko. Both were amazing and well worth it. “The highlight of my stay was finishing my daily runs down the driveway which was a mini bamboo forest of sorts, reminiscent to the Arishyama Bamboo Forest. There is so much more to this place which reveals itself after a few days. The attention to detail to the entire property is a cut above even other fine Four Seasons locations. The location itself is actually just a brief walk to Hygashyama neighborhood. Property is exceptional. We had 2 amazing meals at the hotel in addition to amazing breakfast each morning.” — TimS
