“I need to give a huge shoutout to this gem of a hotel. We have received the most amazing and compassionate service during our stay here. Shortly after my family checked in, we realized we had a lost a small tote bag. Hotel reception helped us to call a shopping center we had visited but no luck. We counted the tote bag as lost. I was surprised when later the same front desk personnel found me in the hotel lounge and asked if we may have left the bag in the taxi we took to the hotel. We stayed here for two days as part of a trip celebrating our engagement and the staff was so attentive and helpful. “The Suiran is located in a beautiful setting in Arashiyama. The bamboo forest, the Tenryu-ji temple and the Togetsukyo Bridge are right outside the door.
