“Everything amazing - staff wonderful at all areas especially camille at the sunset bar. In fact all were amazing. - only one issue the degustation dinner was not 5 star . It was obvious as most dishes were cold ( with a hot sauce pour) they were all pre prepared. The breakfast and all other foods were terrific - the above let the hotel down. “My first stay at the hotel, for three nights - such a beautiful and charming place. I would definitely stay again. Helpful and courteous staff, who spoke very clear French (even I could understand it). We had a huge room with a sea view. Breakfast in the rotunda was superb - a massive selection of food, in great surroundings. I loved the dramatic atmosphere of the cocktail lounge which also had a great selection of drinks. And there was a wonderful pool and spa area (although do bear in mind that almost all of the guests to the hamman are male-female couples and they pay no attention to the "m” — Jay Elliot

“I am very torn about this hotel, but can’t help but keep going back to the fact the rate for the suite we stayed at is upwards of EUR 1,750 per night. The hotel building is beautiful, the grounds lovingly manicured, the location is superb and the history interesting. The Ambassador Suite we got assigned, on the ground floor, was certainly large, looked the part and overlooked the Bay of Biscay. The sound of the sea was superbly masked by the highly engineered windows, when closed. The curtains didn’t quite close properly, so it was hard to make the room entirely dark.
