The aesthetics are rich, moody, and executed with an incredible attention to detail. I typically avoid staying right off the Champs-Élysées area due to the traffic and noise, but this hotel felt like a quiet oasis completely removed from the chaos outside. “We chose this hotel for our honeymoon in Paris expecting the standards of a true 5-star experience: safety, cleanliness, comfort, and professionalism. Unfortunately, our experience was extremely disappointing. From the very first day, there was a serious leak from the bathtub that flooded the bathroom floor. Staff came to remove the water and informed us it would be fixed immediately. Later, maintenance explained that the bathtub curtain was too short and needed replacement. “We stayed in the Balzac previously so were very excited to return for another amazing stay but now all of our impressions of this Michelin key hotel are entirely ruined 1. Lipstick on glass on welcome drink. Took it away and never replaced 2. Strong cigarette smell in our entrance to room and bathroom whole time 3. Fire smell in bedroom because the fire gets lit in the restaurant below 4. Wine stain on carpet in room along with dirty stains on sofa 5.
