“We've stayed in a lot of excellent hotels around the world, and this one is without question our favorite. The location and the ability to go to the falls at sunrise and sunset fantastic, but the hotel does everything right. Our room was incredibly comfortable and beautiful, and the whole building is a delight, including the pool and outdoor spaces. The service was also wonderful, with thoughtful and friendly interactions at every point in our stay. “The real value of staying at Belmond Hotel das Cataratas is the exclusive access to the Brazilian side of Iguassu Falls outside of national park hours. Being able to experience the falls in near solitude is special. The other standout feature is the breakfast buffet, which rivals the variety you’d expect on a cruise ship. The hotel itself is comfortable, clean, and luxurious, but honestly not much more impressive than several places we stayed in Argentine cities at a fraction of the cost—some of which even offered better amenities. All dishes are prepared very well but the chicken is truly unbelievable.
