“My wife and I stayed at the Palacio de los Duques for four nights as part of an anniversary trip to Spain. From the moment we arrived the experience was completely amazing. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional. We were fortunate to have our room ready even though we arrived early which was a welcome surprise after flying overnight. They seemed to always know when we were coming in or out as we never saw the maids, however our room was made up or turned down each time we came back, regardless of how short our time away was. “We loved the location and feel of this hotel when we first arrived; the welcome was warm and the hotel has a gorgeous entrance and common parts. We were checked in by a trainee (supervised by an experienced staff member) so expected the process to be a bit slow which we were fine with. Everything since has been a disappointment, largely because of the poor service on a number of basics. We were told our room would be ready in c20 mins and they would come to get us from the bar area. 45 mins later we were still waiting so we went to the front desk; the supervisor checked and one of our two room” — Nina and Andrew
