“Everything during our stay was good in terms of the facilities and the friendly staff. BUT… It’s the first time I ever stayed at a hotel that added a large gratuity onto the stay at check out time. It was shocking really. I booked a rate that “included” some services, and although I didn’t use any unpacking or ironing service, they were supposedly in the package rate. Then at check out, there was a huge additional service charge that was based on a percentage of the rate! Don’t the room rates include front desk and bellman and housekeeping staffing?!
