“Awful rooms (small, cramped, poor quality furnishings), great service by friendly staff, awful designed bar (looks like a train station caffeteria), good buffet breakfast, lovely entrance and staircase, but that is all you are paying for. Our tiny room at circa 650 euro a night was absolutely not worth it. I should have booked the Merrion Hotel which I am told is better, but juts a bit further away. Don't know why that fund crowd paid something like 250 million euro to buy it and are due to spend another 50 million refurbishing. “Marvelous stay. Beautiful hotel with a unique history. Cian at the front desk was unbelievably kind and accommodating. Room was small, but enough space for my wife and I. Bathroom was updated and clean. Location is great for walking and exploring Dublin. If I come back to Dublin, I can’t imagine myself staying anywhere else. “Without a doubt, best afternoon tea in Dublin! We came to celebrate a birthday and the experience did not disappoint! They have a beyond impressive selection of teas and can masterfully make all drinks, with a special mention of their delicious matcha and mocha! The food was out of this world! Firstly, it is great that they manage to update the menu, introducing new sweet treats such as the banana bread and the éclair (the two best things), but manage the preserve the overall originality and tradition of the sandwiches (all of the classics and none of the brioche nonsense) and the fluffy scone” — nydia ndam
