“I’m pretty disappointed with our stay here. I specifically booked this hotel through the Chase Edit program because of the extra perks, but in the end I didn't receive any. I know the room upgrade is "subject to availability" and I did not receive one...but I’d even reached out to the concierge before our trip to ask for an upper floor. Instead, they put us on the absolute lowest guest floor possible. Also, the welcome amenity that was promised? Never showed up. The biggest issue was the $100 hotel credit and the breakfast benefit. “Other than the lobby, there is absolutely nothing luxurious about this hotel. I’ve stayed at Residence Inn hotels that are far superior. Room: the moment you step into the small and old elevators, you should know what’s to come. I stayed at one of their premium suites. What you get are old, stained carpets, a view to endless graffiti in the city, and an oddly narrow and small shower. Decent bedroom size with a living room, but everything is old and dated. “Beautiful hotel in the heart of San Diego! We enjoyed our staycation here, a great value for the price. Enjoyed the live music in the lobby and the staff service was truly exceptional, from the check in staff to the in room dining staff, everyone was very professional, friendly and attentive to our needs. The room was clean and the products provided were of good quality. My husband forgot his coat in the room and it was absolutely no problem getting it back after check out.
