The hotel is nice ENOUGH. Location is great. Everything was clean. To me though, it was just Ok. I tend to stay in 5 star hotels though so that might be what has me not completely satisfied. There was no robe or slippers in the room, it was hard to get water and ice (I'm a big water drinker), ordering room service was unsuccessful (i ended up getting Uber eats), and my room didn't get serviced. They did come to do my room later that afternoon, but i had just had a medical procedure and just wanted to sleep at that point. Restaurant staff was superb and they made very good lattes. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. We were greeted with fresh waters at check-in, received a wonderful room upgrade, and had every special request accommodated without hesitation. We booked through Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts and took full advantage of the perks, but honestly the property stands on its own. The staff across the board was outstanding, from the bellmen and front desk team to every host and hostess we encountered throughout our stay. Having lived in DC for years, we know this city well, and The Jefferson remains one of its finest addresses. The location is idTyler Dalton

Our stay at the Conrad Washington, DC was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, the service was top-tier, the atmosphere was upscale and welcoming, and the overall design of the hotel was incredible. One of the highlights of our stay was the Sakura Club. The food selection was great, the views were incredible, and the customer service truly exceeded expectations. The staff created such a warm and elevated experience that made the stay even more memorable. Simply the best! The Willard Intercontinental is the finest hotel in a Washington. The hotel is classically beautiful and the service is outstanding. I was there to celebrate my birthday and Ali, Sojung, Nara, and Richard went out of their way to make me feel welcome. Ali is a standout in the hospitality industry his level of kindness and knowledge of the area is unmatched. I had a beautiful suite and was sent several delicious treats to help me celebrate. An Exceptional Local Sanctuary As locals with deep family roots in the area, we have a profound appreciation for New England hospitality, and the Mayflower Inn and Spa absolutely blew us away. Really enjoyed my stay at the Park Hyatt DC. The location was excellent—far enough away from the chaos of downtown to feel relaxed, but a quick cab, Uber, or scooter ride to all the restaurants, bars, and attractions you'd want to visit. The suite was the real highlight. Spacious, well-designed, and laid out in a way that actually made sense. Too many hotels throw a couch in the corner and call it a suite. Not here. The room felt luxurious without being over the top. The bed was incredibly comfortable, Wi-Fi worked flawlessly, and I have to give a special shoutout to the person at HQ for pickiR I

I travel a lot and normally don’t write harsh reviews. But this one deserves it. This review is for Owners/Shareholders of the Hotel to know how the management is running the hotel. We had to wait for 45 mins in the morning for regular Buffet Breakfast. Would you believe it? I talked to other guests waiting too. Everyone was annoyed. Arguing with the staff. You can make excuses about Memorial Day weekend, but it’s your problem. Book less people or make arrangements. I ordered some coffee creamer at the room. Had to call them a few times and took another hour before they came. I had a late guarArpit Garg

Our first time in a Club Level room. Wow. Just wow. Every single touch point on the floor was amazing. Huge amazing shoutout to the Club employees - soooo lovely. Room was ok. It was clean - linens were lovely. We did have tea to celebrate cherry blossom season - it was the day before Easter…and it was ok. I’ve had better - also I’ve had worse. First pot of tea was lukewarm and it took quite a while to find someone to mention it to. The 2nd pot of tea was lovely. Food was nice. Wish the scones were bigger and came not so long after the tray. While we were eating I noticed my husband had a weirKrista Holmes

We had an outstanding stay at The St. Regis Washington, D.C. From the moment we arrived, the level of service was exceptional. We had a really lovely one night stay over a beautiful spring weekend to see family that was visiting from out of town. My wife had found the hotel and made the reservation, and things were really pretty perfect. We called slightly earlier in the day and they were able to get our room ready and get us checked in a little early, which was awesome and much appreciated. The room was clean and comfortable for all four of us, and quiet. Walking distance from everything, friendly staff and quick valet to get the car back when we departed. Everyone was super pleasant, and we would for sure stay againIan Sikdar

We had a phenomenal stay. Peggy, the manager, was incredibly kind and took great care of us throughout our visit. We loved our room on the 10th floor overlooking the wharf, marina, park, and airport — the views were absolutely beautiful. Harsh, the concierge, helped us find the wine tasting at Mount Vernon, and we had an amazing time. The restaurant on the top floor was delicious as well. For a late lunch, we had the edamame, crispy chicken, and the crab sushi roll — everything was excellent. Adam was a fantastic server and made the experience even better. FHR in Washington — FAQ

How many Fine Hotels + Resorts properties are in Washington?

There are 31 luxury properties in Washington bookable through a card collection — Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts, The Hotel Collection, Chase The Edit or Capital One Premier — this page shows the all 31. Each earns you perks like daily breakfast, a property credit and room upgrades on top of your room rate.

Which card gives the best hotel benefit in Washington?

It depends on the property. Amex Platinum (FHR) adds daily breakfast, a ~$100 credit and 4pm checkout with no minimum stay. Chase Sapphire Reserve (The Edit) and Capital One Venture X (Premier) add similar perks with a two-night minimum. Many Washington hotels appear in more than one collection, so book through whichever card gives you the richest credit.

Must I book a prepaid rate to trigger the property credit?

For Amex FHR, no — the on-property credit applies to any FHR-booked stay through Amex Travel. For The Hotel Collection and Chase's The Edit, book the standard collection rate through the card's own travel portal (not a third-party site) and the credit, breakfast and upgrade post automatically at checkout.

Do I need to log into Amex or Chase to see these hotels?

No. This page lists every participating Washington property publicly so you can plan first. When you're ready to book, open a hotel's page for direct portal links.
