“My stay at Jumeirah Olhahali Island was, without exaggeration, the most frustrating and poorly managed experience I have had in the Maldives — and this was my third visit. I selected this resort specifically because of the Jumeirah brand’s reputation and the advertised speedboat transfer option, which was a key deciding factor for me. “A luxurious and well-located resort with very friendly and attentive staff. Everything else is great, but unfortunately, it's definitely not an island for divers! The "Best Dives" dive center detracts from the overall rating and makes it unlikely that divers would want to return. The company may be doing good business, but it's certainly not a dive center that lives for diving and its divers. I'm currently (april 2026) on the island of Olhahali (Jumeirah), where Bestdives operates a dive center. Two tank dives for $300 and a 45-minute limit!
