“We stayed here for three nights and overall had a wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, the service stood out. The staff were warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Our luggage was promptly unloaded from the car, check-in was smooth and fuss-free, and our bags were delivered to the room quickly. Throughout our stay, every staff member greeted us with a smile whenever we passed the reception area. We visited during the Computex period, which was clearly a busy time for the hotel, yet there were always sufficient staff at the entrance and front desk to manage traffic, assist guests,” — Wee Yong O

“I recently stayed at Regent Taipei during a business trip and had a wonderful experience despite an unexpected ligament injury that limited my mobility. Before arrival, I was concerned about moving between two consecutive reservations and managing a late-night flight home. The hotel team was incredibly thoughtful and arranged a room close to the elevator, allowed me to stay in the same room throughout my stay, and helped make my visit much more comfortable. A special highlight was the Tai Pan Lounge. Having both my room and the lounge on the same floor made a huge difference while recovering f” — Claire Chen

“A nice upscale hotel that has good service and comfy spacious rooms. Furnishings not only extrude elegance but also functional. The coffee table looks nice but at the bottom it also house the palte and silverware for you to use to enjoy the fruits and snacks they prepared when you first arrive. Bed is nice and firm, pillows and comforter is very comfy to sleep in. Bonus for the tech geeks: there Ethernet port on the side of the desk actually work! “We stayed in a suite room at the Grand Hyatt Taipei from May 22–25 and again from May 29–June 1, for a total of 7 nights. Our experience was excellent from start to finish. The service was outstanding, and every staff member we encountered was friendly, professional, and helpful. During our stay, I asked for assistance making a reservation at a nail salon for two people, and the team efficiently arranged a convenient appointment time for us. We were especially touched by the personalized service from Ni Huang, Duty Manager – Grand Club. Before our return stay on May 29, she sent us a welcome e” — Peiyin Huang

“Stayed here for 2 nights on my recent trip and was underwhelmed to say the least. I stayed at the Grand Hyatt prior to this and preferred that hotel to this. First off, I will say that the location is excellent and would be the only reason you should consider staying here. The rooms are pretty good size so can’t complain there. The hotel has a dark vibe, the hallways are dark and the rooms as well. As another review said, they are way too strict on the late check out policy even with high status. Other hotels have me 4pm check out without even asking. Again, this is with hotel status. The serv” — Oliver Lee

“The location is excellent, the design is bold and modern, and the overall vibe feels energetic without being overwhelming. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, with great views and all the little details you expect from a W property. Service across the hotel was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. The only downside for us was breakfast. While the buffet itself is large and high quality, more than 80% of the hot items were pork-based, which significantly limited our options. It would be great to see more variety with non-pork proteins or clearly expanded alternatives to make breakfas” — Mohammed Aldawood

FHR in Taipei — FAQ

How many Fine Hotels + Resorts properties are in Taipei?

There are 6 luxury properties in Taipei bookable through a card collection — Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts, The Hotel Collection, Chase The Edit or Capital One Premier — this page shows the all 6. Each earns you perks like daily breakfast, a property credit and room upgrades on top of your room rate.

Which card gives the best hotel benefit in Taipei?

It depends on the property. Amex Platinum (FHR) adds daily breakfast, a ~$100 credit and 4pm checkout with no minimum stay. Chase Sapphire Reserve (The Edit) and Capital One Venture X (Premier) add similar perks with a two-night minimum. Many Taipei hotels appear in more than one collection, so book through whichever card gives you the richest credit.

Must I book a prepaid rate to trigger the property credit?

For Amex FHR, no — the on-property credit applies to any FHR-booked stay through Amex Travel. For The Hotel Collection and Chase's The Edit, book the standard collection rate through the card's own travel portal (not a third-party site) and the credit, breakfast and upgrade post automatically at checkout.

Do I need to log into Amex or Chase to see these hotels?

No. This page lists every participating Taipei property publicly so you can plan first. When you're ready to book, open a hotel's page for direct portal links.
