“We recently stayed at the Vines resort which is in a lovely location and right under the Andes mountains. The main hotel building is very pleasant and houses the bar and a restaurant with a nice terrace with a view to the mountains. Overall we felt that the hotel was very expensive for what it offered. It advertises it has a spa but there are no spa facilities. Treatments take place in a converted bedroom. The swimming pool is not heated and is COLD, it is also not cleaned properly and algae can be found on and underneath the coping tiles. “The location is walking distance to the canal where there are loads of shops and places to eat, and a 5 min Uber to the Ferry port. The staff is one of the most welcoming and friendly I have encountered. The rooms are large, and fine (the bed is comfortable). “Rooms need to be renovated. Like most luxury hotels in Argentina, the management doesn't care about maintenance, and is running down the the buildings and facilities. Restaurant is average and extremely overprized, expect prices like in upscale restaurants in Zürich! And now, the best: at 0:15am, they have an old stinking, very loud truck coming into the compound and pumping water into their storage, directly beneath the rooms for which you pay $800 a night! And look at this backyard! This is the view they give you for $800!” — Ha In

“Stayed for two nights at Llao Llao Hotel & Resort. The setting and scenery are absolutely stunning — arriving through the landscape around the hotel is genuinely impressive, and the property itself is large, beautiful, and very well located in Patagonia. That said, the guest experience didn’t really match what I’d expect from a five-star hotel. The reception staff came across as quite robotic and unfriendly throughout my stay.
