The restaurant was completely empty when we arrived — something that should perhaps have been a warning sign — but we were so impressed by the beautiful renovation that we decided to stay. We ordered two flutes of Champagne, water, and cannelloni. As far as we know, Champagne is traditionally served and savoured as an apéritif, before the meal. “Right in the center of the city of Antwerp, you'll find this completely restyled and most beautiful place. We had the most welcoming reception by the team outside, immediately taking care of our car and luggage. Our room wasn't ready at arrival (we were a bit early), and they kept our luggage and found it in our rooms..... nicely organised and sorted. The room was spacious, luxurious, comfortable.... and a tiny bit noisy (you could hear doors slamming, people talking, etc. ).
