Hotel New Otani Tokyo 'EXECUTIVE HOUSE ZEN'

My stay at the Executive House Zen was nothing short of transcendent. This isn't just a hotel; it's a rare urban sanctuary that seamlessly blends profound history with modern luxury. The Hotel New Otani complex is legendary in Tokyo, established in 1964, and is unique for its three distinct sections: the Main Building, the Garden Wing, and the exclusive Executive House Zen where I stayed, which occupies the top floors. The room was spectacular. I was lucky enough to have a room with a breathtaking view of the Shinjuku skyline and, in the distance, the majestic silhouette of Mount Fuji. The spaGenta

We just returned from a four-night stay at Bellustar Tokyo and had a wonderful experience from start to finish. We arrived at the hotel very early, around 6am, and the check-in team could not have been more thoughtful. They did everything they could to make our early arrival comfortable, including opening up the lounge area so we had a quiet place to relax after a long journey. That first impression really set the tone for the rest of our stay. The service throughout the hotel was excellent, but I want to especially mention Li Juan, our breakfast server. The attention to detail, specially the cleaning and turn down service, was superb. We felt attended to and cared for during the entirety of our stay. This is our 2nd stay at your hotel this year, and it will not be our last. Every employee we encountered was friendly and accommodating. We loved the room, the amenities, the breakfast, and every other aspect of our stay. We will recommend The Prince Gallery to anyone we know to be visiting Tokyo, and we look forward to our next stay here as well. Thank you for helping to make our last 2 visits to Tokyo so memorable.Jayson Howe

This was my first trip to Japan, starting off in Tokyo, as most people do. I am beyond thrilled that the first leg of my trip started at the Andaz. Truly, no other hotel stay compares. The staff was incredibly kind and helpful in all areas of the hotel, including their responsiveness and assistance in coordinating transportation and reservations they were also incredibly helpful with forwarding our luggage for the next destination. Getting off a long flight from the US, they helped us book an Omakase experience at their rooftop sushi restaurant (which was by far the best sushi I’ve ever eaten,Dominique Tsikis

Exceptional One Week Stay at Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi From the moment our trip began, we experienced a level of peace of mind that is truly rare, even among five star properties. Before we ever arrived in Tokyo, we were connected via WhatsApp with the concierge team, led by Marcela, and that alone set the tone for the entire stay. She managed expectations flawlessly and coordinated reservations for our entire trip in advance. Restaurants, private drivers, and even a seamless onsen excursion to Hakone were all thoughtfully arranged. Knowing everything was handled before landing was Bryan Bravo

This was truly the best hotel we have ever stayed at. My husband and I chose it for our honeymoon, and it became an unforgettable part of our time in Tokyo. Every detail felt serene, refined, and thoughtfully designed, the atmosphere, the service, and the sense of calm luxury throughout our stay. We are especially grateful to Janssan Tan, whose professionalism and genuine care made a lasting impression. He was incredibly helpful and attentive, always ensuring everything was seamless for us. Fantastic stay at the Grand Hyatt Tokyo. I arrived around 2pm and was pleasantly surprised that my room was already ready for check-in. From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming, professional, and genuinely kind. The hotel itself is very clean, quiet, and well maintained, which made it easy to relax after long days exploring the city. The room was cozy and comfortable, with an excellent heater that was a lifesaver since it was cold outside. The shower got extra hot (which I loved), and room service was quick and convenient ordering and tray pickup through a QR code made everything effDerrick Scott

Truly one of the best hotels we have ever stayed at. We had the pleasure of staying at the Okura for our honeymoon earlier this month, and we could not have asked for a better experience. From the moment you arrive the staff is incredibly welcoming and accommodating. The hotel itself is stunning and immaculately maintained, and the room was spacious and comfortable. We opted for a room with a bath overlooking the city, which was a treat. I’ll note that we stayed on the “Prestige” side of the hotel, not the “Heritage” side. Peninsula Tokyo was our first stop in Japan and we spent four nights at this wonderful hotel. We reserved the most basic room and still found it luxurious and extremely spacious. The decor in the rooms and in common spaces is beautiful and everything in the hotel is impeccable. Moreover, the staff are incredibly kind and helpful. Although this is a nicer hotel, it doesn’t feel uptight or pretentious and it is kid-friendly. The swimming pool was a wonderful benefit during the typhoon. In-house restaurants, particularly Hei Fung Terrance, were also excellent. Truly no notes for improvement on thMary McManaman

Stayed here recently before going on a cruise. Great service, staff everywhere to help with any queries. Amazing breakfast buffet. Plenty of food for vegetarians. 👍. We had dinner twice in the cafe area next to the buffet - both times were great. Tasty food. Lovely atmosphere ( have to say we were a little put off by all the young Japanese girlies that were coming in for the special afternoon teas-It’s quite offputting having your meal when these girls are jumping up and down moving around to get the very best photos of themselves -a good 45 minutes before they started eating. I’ve never seenK Pepper

Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi

Tokyo, Japan

We had the pleasure of staying at the Four Seasons Marunouchi for six nights last week, during the beautiful cherry blossom season in Tokyo. We had an incredible time at the hotel -- the entire staff was so welcoming, understanding, warm and accommodating. The location of the hotel is ideal -- so close to Tokyo Station and so easy to get to all the other neighborhoods. Both my children (ages 4 and 7) were treated like princesses, and everyone working at the hotel went out of their way to help them and make all of us feel at home. They even brought special treats and gifts for both of my girls Neha Rana

I had an amazing stay at this hotel and couldn’t be happier with the experience. From the moment I arrived, everything was smooth, clean, and welcoming. The rooms were comfortable, well-maintained, and had everything I needed for a relaxing stay. I especially want to highlight Wally, the hotel manager, who truly went above and beyond. He was incredibly professional, attentive, and made sure I felt taken care of throughout my stay. It’s clear he genuinely cares about guests and runs the hotel with pride. The staff overall was friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere made it easy to feel at homeNat Val

Pros: the staff is polite, professional and what you would expect at a 5-star hotel in Tokyo. Lobby is nice. Cons: the suite is NOT at all what I had ever experienced at a 5-star hotel anywhere - especially in Japan. The minimalist “design” makes this room look like a government building and lacks any amenities. It’s depressing actually. I have a corner suite other top floor and was expecting a beautiful, luxurious suite. I’d say the room is 3-star quality. Food: ordered a hamburger from room service. I’d say (see photo) they spent about 3 seconds cooking this meat. The beef and bacon are 100%Michael Evans

FHR in Tokyo — FAQ

How many Fine Hotels + Resorts properties are in Tokyo?

There are 32 luxury properties in Tokyo bookable through a card collection — Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts, The Hotel Collection, Chase The Edit or Capital One Premier — this page shows the all 32. Each earns you perks like daily breakfast, a property credit and room upgrades on top of your room rate.

Which card gives the best hotel benefit in Tokyo?

It depends on the property. Amex Platinum (FHR) adds daily breakfast, a ~$100 credit and 4pm checkout with no minimum stay. Chase Sapphire Reserve (The Edit) and Capital One Venture X (Premier) add similar perks with a two-night minimum. Many Tokyo hotels appear in more than one collection, so book through whichever card gives you the richest credit.

Must I book a prepaid rate to trigger the property credit?

For Amex FHR, no — the on-property credit applies to any FHR-booked stay through Amex Travel. For The Hotel Collection and Chase's The Edit, book the standard collection rate through the card's own travel portal (not a third-party site) and the credit, breakfast and upgrade post automatically at checkout.

Do I need to log into Amex or Chase to see these hotels?

No. This page lists every participating Tokyo property publicly so you can plan first. When you're ready to book, open a hotel's page for direct portal links.
