“I recently booked 2 rooms for a quick trip based on the marketing stating it offered airport shuttle service. I called the concierge prior to our arrival and after I had the rooms booked for over a month and was then told they offered no such service. Let's just say my discussion with the floor/assistant manager was a waste of time! Meanwhile it cost my group over $200 in UBER fees in addition to the $$$/room rate. “I am deeply disappointed and frustrated by the abysmal check-in experience my partner and I encountered last night (May 22nd) at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne. Despite its prime location, the front office staff's dismissive and outright rude demeanor ruined our entire stay from the very first minute. When we arrived to check in last night, the front desk agent claimed they could not locate our reservation in their system. “For an expensive hotel I expected a bit more. The views were beautiful, the beds were comfy, I did think the decor was very out dated, I didn't find it as clean as what I thought it would be. There was mold around some of the bathroom sinks, the toilet seat was heavy and loud, the bathroom doors are pretty see through 😅 so if you are going there as a family or with friends I wouldn't recommend. “Throughly enjoyed our stay! Everything was great, the buffet dinner at Melba is a must and be sure to get the buffet breakfast too. Everything is so delicious. The freshly made omelette was amazing. “My partner paid extra to secure a room with the best possible view, but unfortunately we were given a room overlooking the car park. The windows were also quite dirty, making it difficult to take good photos. In addition, the pool water appeared heavily treated with chemicals, and the breakfast was fairly ordinary. Even coffee was not included and had to be purchased separately. “Fantastic hotel with chic, unique rooms in true W style. The rooms are spacious, the Wet Deck pool is great, and the overall design makes the stay feel a bit more special than your average hotel. The standout for us was the team at Curious. The staff there were warm, attentive and genuinely helpful, and they were easily the highlight of our stay.
